Carl William Financial News & Information

Where do you go to get your financial news? I tend to look on the Internet because it is more convenient. Also I find that I can just quickly look at the headlines and only read about what I am interested in . With the TV news, I have to listen to the whole thing and it wastes a lot of time. I also find that they tend to be more biased than articles on line. The worst place to get financial news is non financial newspapers, I think. I find that they do not always understand what they are reporting and they do not put enough relevant information into the article but just try to scandalise it.

I think that financial news needs to be more honest. I have studied economics and I know that the market behaves in a manner determined by the expectations of people. If they expect there to be a recession then they will behave as if there is one and it will bring us into one. If people realised that this was the case then they may understand why they are being advised to spend their way out of the recession and they may actually do what they have been advised. Being presented with evidence and facts would probably help most people to change their behaviour and their attitudes.
